Akama Resort opened in December 2007 making it one of the youngest holiday apartments in Hervey Bay.  Being situated across from the Marina makes it easy for guests looking to go whale watching, only taking a couple of minutes to walk over where the vessels leave or dine at a range of cafes, restaurants and The Boat Club.

We take safety and security a priority here, the garage and front doors are locked as soon as it get’s dark leaving only guests access to the building after hours.  We have a strict no party policy ensuring that your stay will be enjoyable. With onsite managers, it gives guests the reassurance if anything goes wrong that someone is always here to help.

The apartments were designed for holiday living, being fully self contained with fully equipped kitchens for all your cooking needs, a laundry with a washing machine and dryer.

Two kilometres west is the Urangan Central shopping centre where you will find, Woolworths, chemist, post office, bakery, butcher, newsagent and bottle shop.

Akama Resort is your home away from home whether you are looking for relaxation, romance, a fun family get away or coming to see Fraser Island or the Whales.
Akama Resort is the place to be.
